ABOUT ME…
HEY YALL!
My name is Nicholas Harrison, and I was born in Houston, Texas (H-TOWN!!). With my Dad being a true Texan and my Mom being born in Iran, I have the privilege to say I am half Texan as well as half Iranian. I was introduced to theatre at the age of seven by seeing a regional production of The Wizard of Oz. I was simply in awe of what I had witnessed, and I knew I wanted to be up on stage, dancing and singing my heart out. I started doing theatre camps and working in community theatres throughout the Houston area, with my first role being in a production of a musical adaptation of Tom Sawyer, playing his younger brother Sid Sawyer, from there I instantly caught the theatre bug. I decided to join the theatre club in middle school, and decided to continue on my theatre journey throughout high school, as well as joining choir. Upon graduating from high school, I knew that this wasn’t much of a hobby anymore. I loved the arts more than anything, and from there decided to take my talents onward to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre with a Minor in Dance at The University of Texas at Arlington, with an expected graduation in May of 2025.
While living in Arlington, I worked in professional theatres such as The Firehouse Theatre, Water Tower Theatre, and Lyric Stage, most recently seen as Joseph Buquet in Water Tower Theatre’s Production of Phantom In Concert, as well as being a part of multiple productions at UTA. These credits include; Anthony in Sweeney Todd, Max in Bright Star, Dance Ensemble in Head Over Heels, and most recently, Ozzie in On The Town. Up next, I will be seen in Lyric Stage’s production of Guys and Dolls as Rusty Charlie in August of 2025.
When I’m not running around performing, I enjoy cooking Middle Eastern cuisine, as well as various forms of Italian food. I enjoy watching movies, but primarily psychological thrillers, and watching the TV show Friends for the hundredth time. I also have developed an interest in writing screenplays about my own personal experiences throughout my life, involving love and loss. Recently, I discovered a love of directing, after directing scenes from the play The Elephant Man by Bernard Pomerance. Upon graduation, I am interested in works that will have the opportunity to challenge myself as an artist with roles that dive into the mentality of characters, and create specific works that question the ideals of society. As I venture to the great city of New York in Fall of 2025, I plan to push the boundaries as an artist, and dive into the world of screenwriting, along with directing, as well as continuing my love and passion for my life on the stage.
